Writersgram Team: When was the first time that you realized you wanted to become a writer?

Reema: Honestly, the thought of becoming a writer never even crossed my mind. I went through multiple school switches, and as a result, I never had any lasting friendships. So, I found solace in my diary, which became my closest companion. Journaling became my outlet, and soon, I started scribbling my thoughts. Writing in Hindi, my comfort language, I discovered a passion for composing poems. I would share my naive writings with my confidante Aarti Mishra who constantly encouraged me to write more. One fine day, a friend asked me, “Why don’t you consider publishing your work?” That question ignited a spark within me. I mustered the courage to reach out to Writersgram publication house, and they gave me the opportunity to bring my dreams to life. This is how my first book, “Miracle of Words,” came to be, and the journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions ever since. Through sleepless nights and days of self-doubt, they persisted. The journey of a writer had begun, with each step laden with hope and apprehension. The joy of seeing their thoughts take shape on paper, the thrill of creating new worlds and characters, and the overwhelming satisfaction of completing a piece all filled their heart with a sense of purpose.

Though the path of a writer was not without hurdles, the passion to write continued to burn brightly. With each word, they found a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them. The journey of self-discovery through writing became an emotional voyage, as they explored the depths of their imagination and shared pieces of their soul with every written word.

And so, the realization of wanting to become a writer marked the beginning of a life-long affair with the written word, a journey of emotions and self-expression that would shape the essence of their being.

Writersgram Team: Tell us about your writing journey!

Reema: Oh, my writing journey has been an incredible rollercoaster ride of emotions! At the beginning, I never saw myself as a writer. Doubts and insecurities haunted me, and I often wondered if my words would ever matter to anyone. But life’s twists and turns led me to discover the power of writing.

As I delved deeper into my passion, I ventured into the realm of poetry. Each verse became an outpouring of my soul, emotions woven delicately into every line. I started sharing my poems with a trusted confidante, and her unwavering support bolstered my confidence. One fateful day, a friend planted a seed of possibility. “Why don’t you publish your work?” they asked. It was a moment of revelation that changed everything. With trembling hands, I contacted Writersgram publication house, hoping for a glimmer of hope. And it happened! They believed in my words, giving me the chance to turn my dreams into reality.

The day my first book, “Miracle of Words,” was published, was nothing short of magic. It was an emotional whirlwind of joy, pride, and a hint of nervousness. Seeing my thoughts etched in print, knowing that others might connect with them, filled my heart with euphoria. But the journey didn’t end there. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions ever since, filled with moments of self-doubt, bursts of creativity, and the occasional writer’s block. I’ve experienced the thrill of positive reviews, the sting of criticism, and the warmth of reader appreciation. Through it all, writing has become my sanctuary, a safe haven to explore my innermost thoughts and emotions. It has been a journey of growth, resilience, and self-discovery, and I can’t wait to see where it leads me next. Writing is not just a skill; it’s an integral part of who I am, and I am forever grateful for this extraordinary voyage.

Writersgram Team: What according to you is the most important part of your writings?

Reema: The most crucial part of any writing, with emotions, is the ability to evoke a genuine connection with the reader. It’s about crafting words and narratives that resonate with their hearts, stir their souls, and leave a lasting impact. Emotion is the soul of writing, the driving force that breathes life into the words on the page.

When emotions are skilfully woven into the fabric of a story, essay, or poem, the reader becomes immersed in the experience. They can feel the joy, the pain, the laughter, and the tears as if they were living within the pages themselves. This emotional connection creates a powerful bond between the writer and the reader, forging an intimate relationship that transcends mere words.

The most compelling writings are those that touch the full spectrum of emotions – the euphoria of triumph, the heartache of loss, the warmth of love, the chill of fear, and everything in between. It is the ability to capture the essence of human experience, to portray the complexity of feelings and thoughts that makes writing truly impactful.

However, emotions alone are not enough. The art of storytelling, the elegance of language, and the finesse of expression are equally important. Crafting a well-structured narrative, employing vivid imagery, and choosing the right words are the tools that allow emotions to shine through.

In essence, the most important part of writing, with emotions, is the capacity to create an authentic and profound emotional connection with the reader. It is through this connection that a writer can leave an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those who delve into their words.

Writersgram Team: What does your family think of your writing?

Reema: To be honest, this side of me didn’t seem to matter to them. Coming from a typical middle-class Indian family, their main focus was on my education and securing a reputable job. So, when they discovered my passion for writing, it took them by surprise. Yet, to my relief, they never stood in my way or clipped my wings. Instead, they quietly supported me, and that meant the world to me. Their unspoken encouragement became the ultimate pillar of strength that fueled my journey as a writer.

Writersgram Team: What is the next project you are working on?

Reema: Ah, the excitement in my heart is palpable as I embark on not just one but two exhilarating projects! The first is a labor of love – my very first novel. The thought of weaving a captivating narrative, crafting compelling characters, and immersing readers into an enchanting world fills me with both joy and trepidation. The blank pages before me are like a canvas, waiting to be painted with emotions, dreams, and adventures.

And then there’s the second project, a collection of soulful poetries and evocative two-liners. This one feels like baring my soul on paper, expressing the deepest thoughts and emotions that have been simmering within. Each line is a reflection of my innermost self, and I can’t wait to share these intimate verses with the world.

The hours seem to fly by as I lose myself in the creative process, juggling between the novel’s intricate plotlines and the delicate crafting of poignant poetry. The anticipation of seeing my ideas take shape, of witnessing the birth of these literary creations, is both thrilling and nerve-wracking. With every word I pen down, I feel like I’m opening a door to a realm of possibilities. It’s like dancing on the edge of a precipice, ready to take the leap into the unknown, fueled by the passion for storytelling and the beauty of verse. These projects are not just words on paper; they are pieces of my soul, my dreams, and my aspirations. As I pour my heart into each sentence and verse, I can only hope that these endeavours will resonate with readers and touch their hearts in ways I can only imagine.
